TEATRO GUEMES Mar del Plata
Todo en rojo? Me preguntaron esa tarde en mi estudio, casi al mismo tiempo mis entusiastas y queridos clientes Pablo Perez Iglesias y Javier Faroni cuando les presenté mi Anteproyecto del futuro Teatro Guemes: Sí! les contesté, me imagino un interior del Teatro totalmente en rojo: que el color invada las butacas, la alfombra, el cielo raso, sus paredes, el telón..toda la sala. Por que para mí el rojo representa “la SANGRE del actor en escena”. Sería una alegoría arquitectónica inspirada en la Energía del ARTISTA que irradia a todo el espacio cuando actúa. Y también me imagino flores. Flores? Me preguntaron sorprendidos. Si, Flores de calas pintadas, les contesté, por que en el medioevo cuando los juglares en escena eran aplaudidos, el público les arrojaba también flores como símbolo de buena suerte. Era un gran: GRACIAS!
En cuanto les propuse esta idea dibujada, ambos me dijeron: La hacemos ya! Y así se hizo tal cual. El Teatro Guemes en Mar del Plata, ganó durante casi una década un gran prestigio y reconocimiento. Hoy ya no está, a pesar que la gente lo sigue buscando porque los grandes aplausos de pie y los talentosos actores y actrices que pasaron por su escenario siguen aún en la memoria colectiva emotiva de muchos de nosotros. Estoy convencido que HOY en momentos donde la salud mental de la humanidad está en peligro, los artistas van a ayudar a salvarnos, a volver a esperanzarnos. Por eso mi mayor apoyo a su gran labor de hacernos ILUSIONAR. Y un gran: GRACIAS!
All in red? I was asked that afternoon in my studio, almost at the same time my enthusiastic and dear clients Pablo Perez Iglesias and Javier Faroni when I presented my Draft Project for the future Guemes Theater: Yes! I answered them, I imagine an interior of the Theater totally in red: that the color invades the seats, the carpet, the ceiling, its walls, the curtain ... everything. Because for me red represents “the BLOOD of the actor on stage”. It would be an architectural allegory to the Energy of the ARTIST that radiates when he acts, to the whole space. And I also imagine flowers. Flowers? They asked me in surprise. Yes, Calla flowers, I answered them, because in the Middle Ages when the minstrels they were applauded on stage, the audience also threw flowers at them as a symbol of good luck. It was a great: THANK YOU! As soon as I proposed this drawn idea to them, they both told me: We do it now! And so it was done as is.The Guemes Theater in Mar del Plata, gained great prestige and recognition for more than a decade. Today he is gone, even though people keep looking for him because the great standing applause and the talented actors and actresses who passed through its stage are still in the emotional collective memory of many of us. I am convinced that TODAY in times where the mental health of humanity is in danger, artists are going to help save us, to give us hope again. That is why my greatest support for his great work of making us ILLUSION. And a big one: THANK YOU!
